Children's Ministry

Harvest Church uses a systematic approach to Sunday School for ages 0 - 12th Grade.
 
We have decided what we want students to believe when they graduate and walk away from our ministry.
 
We teach with the "end in mind".
 
We are creating and enabling leaders and parents to synchronize their efforts in achieving a master plan. 
 
We use a strategy not just a curriculum.

We start with WONDER and help preschoolers embrace a God who is bigger than their imagination.

We add DISCOVERY so children can understand how to grow in their relationship to God and His truth.

We fuel PASSION by giving students opportunities to be the church and to make a difference influencing their generation. 

Our goal is to make sure that our curriculum is always relevant, biblical, engaging and experiential. But, there are five additional distinctives of our resources.
  1. Perpetually Innovative - Timeless ingredients being rewritten and repackaged continually.
  2. Uniquely Customizable - We make it fit our environment. 
  3. Parent Linked - parents connected and engaged to be involved in the overall strategy. 
  4. Leader Centric - built around establishing consistent leaders in the lives of kids and teenagers.
  5. Comprehensively Strategic - each component is intentionally created.

252 Basics

The 252 Basics curriculum provides a unique, accessible strategy for children in grades K-5 to model the characteristics Jesus modeled in Luke 2:52: "And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature and favor with God and man."

Similarly, we want each child to grow up knowing these three basic truths: 
  • I need to make the WISE choice.
  • I can TRUST God no matter what.
  • I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated. 
These three basic truths are emphasized by teaching through over 150 Bible stories. The curriculum is organized around a biblical virtue and memory verse as the framework for each month. 252 Basics utilizes both small and large group formats. Large groups are for Bible storytelling and worship, and small groups are used for personal interaction as kids learn to apply biblical truths to their own lives.

Elevate is an great worship experience for the children. 
 
WEDNESDAY AFTER-SCHOOL PICK-UP & AFTER-SCHOOL PROGRAM
One of our favorite things in the children's ministry at Harvest Church is the Wednesday after-school pick-up and Wednesday night program. This is a time where children and youth come after school to do different activities, work on homework, have an afternoon snack, Bible study, games, and more. This is a great time.
The children and youth both have programs on Wednesday afternoon. They are split up into age groups to best suit the needs of the children and youth.
